“Dream High” is high school drama about the dreams of students who attend a performing arts school with the storyline to be relayed through song and dance.
This project is jointly produced by cable unit CJ Media and major talenthouses JYP Entertainment (JYPE) and KEYEAST.

Bae Yong Joon, KEYEAST’s major shareholder,  take part in the planning and production of the drama, while famed producer Park JinYoung, also the founder and CEO of JYPE, will arrange and produce the music and choreography for Dream High musical numbers.

Dream High will open an audition to search it’s actors and actresses.
There will be three rounds audition where the final chosen candidate will be the cast for Dream High.
Anyone aged 16 to 35, who can acting, singing and dancing can submit a video showing your talent to KEYEAST website.

Dream High will premiere in KBS2 , January 2011.

Lee Chun Hee and Jun Hye Jin met on the set of SBS hit drama Smile, You.
32-year-old Lee Chun Hee latest drama is Gloria meanwhile 23-years-old Jun Hye Jin will appear in musical drama Whats Up.
They began dating after Smile, You and with nine years age differences, this cute couple decided to get marry.
The ceremony will take place at beautiful Sheraton Walker Hill Hotel this Friday, March 11.

It’s a complete episode, you got heartbreaking touching moment (when Na Na saved Yun Seong), many hilarious moments (especially with Shik Joong ajusshi), a surprise of sooner than expected secret revelation (for Yun Seong that his mom never abandoned him) , a wind of change (for shark prosecutor Kim Young Joo -his father is a corrupt man- now the City Hunter keeps an eye for you) , a declaration of war (between father Jin Pyo and Yun Seong) include the action package in the street and last but not the least, we got a couple (finally Yun Seong and Nana are an item), horray !

Opened with Kim Na Na’s grande sacrifice, reminds us to Bruno Mars’ Grenade : I would take a bullet for you baby ! Yeah !

We love how City Hunter’s writer makes Yun Seong and Na Na as honest and frank person when it comes to romance. Not wasting screen time with unnecessary beating around the bush.

When Na Na, ready to leave Yun Seong’s house and says that she will disappear from him, Yun Seong turns his back and walk to prevent Na Na from going and hug her from behind. That’s my man !

So does Na Na, when Yun Seong embraces her from behind, she knows it’s time for her to undo what she just said and puts her hand on Yun Seong’s hand as the answer. So frank and sweet, you go girl !

We keep impressed by this ‘nerve as steel’ veterinarian who never ask a thing. She deserves more screen time and happiness (Prosecutor Young Joo, your ex still loves you !)

We adore Shik Joong ajusshi and he is a normal man, ha ha .

City Hunter gets a new beautiful partner.

Poor prosecutor. His father is a shame corrupt man with mountain of money, literally, whoa !

Yun Seong once said couple episode ago that his father now is like a train without a brake. Yes, Yun Seong was right but also partially wrong. Jin Pyo became a heartless soul in a train without a brake since ….. 28 years ago, when he saw his companions was massacred -by their own party- that night in the cold water of Nampo shore after bravely served their country and saw his best friend -Yun Seong’s dad- died after took a bullet for him.

He’s shaken and very normal thing for Jin Pyo to seek revenge.
When he wants to get rid of everyone which hinder his revenge plan, then we have to see from his perspective : he already waited 28 years for revenge and now a fall in love couple seems to ruin all his plan, so it’s understandable for him to get rid of Na Na.

Jin Pyo wants a death as revenge,  he was a former hard trained secret agent after all, killed enemy was his daily job, moreover for the people who betrayed his team, there’s no perfect price than death.
He had no other purpose in life other than eliminated that 5 people who betrayed their own soldiers.

But, he completely wrong when he said that Yun Seong is weak. That pretty kid had never been there -in  Nampo shore- when that massacre happened. How could he understand the pain ?
It’s already a remarkable thing that Yun Seong took part in the revenge thing. If he has his own way to get revenge, it’s because Yun Seong has a very different philosophy of life with Jin Pyo.

So, it’s interesting to see how City Hunter’s writer will solve Jin Pyo, a lost soul in the train without a brake. So sad.

Here are stills from upcoming SBS drama The History of Salaryman.
The stills were taken during the drama’s poster and teaser shoot in the cold weather and light rain. But of course the drama’s staff and the casts did their work without complain.

Lead by director Kang Yung Ho who famous as a dance choreographer , the main cast : Lee Beom Soo, Jung Ryu Won , Jung Gyu Won, Hong Su Hyun and supporting cast : Lee Duk Hwa, Lee Ki Young and  Kim Soo Young were all out for the shooting which included a dance session which mimicked the famous Michael Jackson’s Thriller dance.

We have no idea why a drama which tells story of the life of white collar worker would use a Thriller dance . Maybe it’s a part of the satire as the director told that the drama History of a Salaryman will tells its story in an advanced satire and humor to describe  all the competition, conspiracy, betrayal, loyalty and love in the life of those workers.

It still hard to digest , but we definitely will take a look when The History of Salaryman debuts early January 2012.

Jo Dong Hyuk came back to to small screen after his latest drama , KBS 2007 daily drama I Hate You But It’s Fine which he plays Han Ji Hye’s ambitious older brother.
The 33 years grabbed the lead role,  a warrior in upcoming cable TV OCN 12 episodes historical action drama Yaksha, where he plays Baek Rok, a loyal longtime secret aide for The King.

In Yaksha we’ll see Jo Dong Hyuk shed his city boy looks in I Hate You But It’s Fine and transformed into a 6 pack Spartacus alike warrior full of muscle, a result from 6 months training and exercises.
The training paid off since we can’t recognize Jo Dong Hyuk in above picture released by Yaksha production team.

Yaksha came from Jung Hyung Soo, the writer of highly successful former saeguk Jumong. Yaksha tells the miserable destiny and revenge of two brothers, Baek Rok and Baek Kyul.
This big budget drama which spend almost USD 2.5 million in the making (phenomenal for a cable TV drama), promised to bring fantastic quality of computer graphic image and action.

Yaksha debuts December 10.

Fresh from Coffee House where he plays Dong Wook, a quiet barista who fell in love with Ham Eun Jung, Park Jae Jung visits us again with his new movie, a fantasy melodrama  titled Try To Remember which released yesterday in Korea.

Unlike his supporting role in Coffee House, in this first ever movie role for Park Jae Jung , he scored the lead role, a photographer named Eun Gyo who back home after failed in work and love. Then he will involve in fantasy romance with In Woo, a woman he never met before but they have been suffering the same dream and the same deja vu.

In Woo character played by 25-year old Yoon Soy who starred in Hero and City of Glass.

30-year old Park Jae Jung already has a good looking face when he entered entertainment industry and already scored lead role in daily drama You’re My Destiny.
But we thought that he must work hard to improve his acting skill to make him a complete package and be able to compete with other major actors to grab major drama role. We believe he will .

Jae Hee’s plan to make a debut on small screen is on delay.
After being released from military service, Jae Hee secured a lead role in upcoming MBC weekend drama Hooray For Love (previously titled Long Live Love) opposites cute actress Lee Bo Young.

He supposed to play a playboy lawyer who handles Lee Bo Young’s divorce case. But due to sudden injury he endured while he was practicing surfing scene at the end of May, he withdrew from this drama.
Jae Hee already underwent treatment in China but unfortunately the injury still linger.
So sad , hopefully he gets well and recover soon. Hwaiting !

Another actor also dropped Hooray For Love. It’s Jung Suk Won (Dr. Champ, Midas) who also Baek Ji Young’s boyfriend.
For your information, Baek Ji Young is -according to us- the most beautiful voice in South Korea today. She’s the voice behind many gorgeous  drama soundtracks you can find in  Athena and Secret Garden to name a few.

When first offered a role in Hooray For Love, Jung Suk Won was busy filming his movie, Flight : Close to  The Sun, alongside Rain and Shin Se Kyung. He turned down the offer.
But then, it’s reported that finally Suk Won accepted the role after approached by drama team.
He even already shot his scenes for the first episode.

So , what went wrong ?
Jung Suk Won’s agency said that the reason was the difference between drama crew’s interpretation of the character and his.
The agency also said that Suk Won’s role , a married man with a child, lame and unfaithful was a little forcing on him who is only in his 20s and it wasn’t what they thought in the beginning.

Looks like  that bad character is too much for Suk Won. Maybe his agency prepare him to be the next big star and carefully avoids all roles who gives bad impression for him , as in fact , we rarely seen Korean big names play such  a lame and unfaithful roles.

This might be a good move for Jung Suk Won. But as a drama lover, we somewhat disappointed. A good actor is the one who can and ready to play any kind of role, right ?
But again, when we remember that Korean entertainment business counts heavily on actors / actresses’ image , then we fully understand.

Then, this all brings us to an admiration to Lee Dae Hae who bravely took Jang Mi Ri role in currently airing drama Miss Ripley.
Jang Mi Ri’s character is a woman who completely manipulative (whatever her reason), she’s fake, a liar, a cheater and many more.
It never ‘in our 5 years watched Korean drama’ that we found this kind of heroine. Kudos to her !

Back to Hooray for Love, the drama team wasted no time to get the replacement. They got Jin Yi Han (All My Love , A Good Day for the Wind to Blow) to replace Jung Suk Won and Lee Tae Sung (Playful Kiss, Terroir) to fill Jae Hee’s supposed role.

Hooray For Love airs next July, replacing Can You Hear My Heart.
